The western portion of the permit contains a number of potentially significant sedimentary iron ore horizons which were defined by BHP in the early 1960s and form part of the Constance Range Iron Ore mineralisation. Several groups are re-evaluating potential resources in adjoining tenements.

Resource:

Geology/Geophysics:

Outcropping ironstones which consist of a mixture of ochrous red hematite, limonite, quartz grains, crystalline blue-black hematite and relict siderite.

Forward Program:

Icon Resources has joined the Constance Range Iron Ore Alliance led by Australian Minerals and Mining Group Ltd, with the intention of promoting the iron ore potential of the province to investors. The iron ore within Icon’s tenement contains the lowest silica and some of the highest iron content in the province.
